Yesterday, the training clinic in preparation for the 470 Junior Junior Championship in Bracciano has finished with the participation of 5 boats from 3 different countries, Argentina, Italy, Holland.

2018 470 Junior World Championships

The first day was possible to go out in the water twice for double training, morning-afternoon, being able to divide the work between speed, conduction, start techniques and short races.

On the second day, the morning wind made possible a short speed test before starting various exercises on the starting line and regattas, until the wind faded away.

The training days were concluded with video meetings and analysis.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to carry out any races of the scheduled national regatta as for the two following days, the wind was very unstable and too light.

The crews exercised a lot in pre-race analysis of the conditions and the consequent development of a strategy, even if it was not always possible to implement it.

Simone Malagugini,  the head coach, argued that “it was a pleasure for me to help the young crews to prepare their first international experiences and to support the International 470 class Association”
