Report of the last day.
The competitors woke up in stormy conditions on the last day of 2022 470 Junior Worlds. After a quick coach meeting, the first 10 ranked competitors had a medal race briefing. Meanwhile everyone else was preparing for the last race. The race committee intended to start the final race at 11.00, therefore at 10.30 hours all competitors were on the water. The conditions were quite bad, big waves remained from the storm, but the wind stopped. Luckily just before the start time of the last race, wind built up again, and the fleet could have a nice "last dance" in 5-8 knots breeze.

After the briefing and inspection, the medal race competitors joined the course. They started as planned, at 12.00 hours. For the top-10 teams the wind was getting better and better and OSCAR was displayed at the first upwind mark. The Turkish dou Tulcai-Danismend led the race from start to finish, and won the medal race. The boat of Pacaud-De Gennes was sailing quite free, for the whole race they could keep their opponent the Austrian boat in last place. Until the finish it looked like the Turkish boat would be on the podium with the medal race win, but POL7 could fight up one more place, and took second place overall. Subsequently, the championship finished with 9 races, in various conditions.
