Sail Melbourne 2023, the iconic regatta returned to the waters of Port Phillip with 11 boats sailing this week from three nations (AUS, ITA, NZL).

The 470 family mourns the loss of Jean-Claude Cornu, son of the 470's Designer André Cornu. Jean-Claude, a top sailor -505 World Champion in 1961 and FD Olympian in 1960- was instrumental in the success of the promotion campaign of the 470 Class. 

The 2023 470 mixed National Championship took place in Haikou between 14 - 20 November with the participation of 36 boats.

The 55th Semaine Olympique Française de Hyères is back from April 21 to 28, 2024. 

The event is organised by the Fédération Francaise de Voile.

The 470 International Class Association www.470.org is organizing a 470 training camp for 470 teams (mainly mixed but not limited) either from Emerging nations or newly formed 470 teams.

The International 470 Class Association continues the 470 Sails Support program where specific teams are able to buy brand new sails at reduced prices, thanks also to the participation of our sailmakers.

The International 470 Class is supporting the development of judges, race officers and measurers who have sailed and competed in the 470 Class. We would like to identify individuals who have experience of the 470 Class, either as a sailor or a coach and who would like to develop their career and receive international status.
